The Vine

As happens with a good wine, The Vine is a hotel with soul, intense and sophisticated, luxurious but with a touch of simplicity and discretion. In 2013, it was honoured with the World’s Leading Design Hotel award, granted by World Travel Awards.

With 79 rooms of which 22 are suites, and a unique decoration by Nini Andrade Silva, at the Boutique Hotel every detail is inspired on vines and other natural elements of the island of Madeira, including its spa, “The Spa” that has wine therapy as its main treatment method.

At The Vine spa, the ingredients used to produce the best wines embody unique therapies. Among these are the Scrub using Grape-seeds macerated in Madeira Wine, the Citrus or Lavender Massage with Madeira Wine and the Wine Bath, with huge antioxidant properties. And, also the Vichy Massage or the Rain Massage, with deeply relaxing effects that provide us with an overall sense of revitalisation, ideal for a getaway weekend, after days of intense work.

With a wide range of signature treatments, the spa at The Vine also offers a communal relaxation area, Jacuzzi and Turkish bath to relax after each ritual, while quietly drinking tea and making plans for the next day's activities throughout the island.
